Why It's Important to Have
Clean, Sanitary Bins
CLEAN AND
SANITIZED:
Trash and recycle bins are a natural breeding ground for bacteria—which makes them a potential health risk—and the dirt and waste inside can attract bugs and rodents. Our cleaning and sanitizing system scrubs and removes all of the dirt and grime on the inside and outside of your trash and recycling bins using water heated to 220 degrees, and harmful bacteria and other organisms are eliminated.
DEODORIZED:
Once our cleaning and sanitizing system has thoroughly cleaned the bins, we deodorize the inside and outside, and leave them with a fresh, clean scent. No more smelly bins that can attract bugs and rodents!
ECO-FRIENDLY: It can be dangerous to try and clean trash and recycle bins yourself, since many household cleaning products can pollute the soil and contaminate groundwater. The
Cleaned Bins system is completely safe on the environment. Our cleaning products are both eco-friendly and highly effective, and our truck's wastewater is collected for proper disposal.

Special Horses Annual Reports
We believe in total transparency, so each calendar year, Special Horses provides an Annual Report that lists a breakdown of our income and expenses. This detailed breakdown includes the rescues that have received funds, our Emergency Fund gifts, and more.
Special Horses Emergency Fund
A One-Time Gift to Be Used Toward Initial Costs for Unforeseen and Immediate Needs for
Equine Rescue Organizations in Good Standing
A one-time $100.00 gift will be made by The Special Horses Emergency Fund to any US-based equine rescue 501(c)(3) organization in good standing with the IRS and their state. Funds will be transferred immediately via PayPal to be used to help defray urgent and unexpected costs for the organization. If the organization does not maintain its own facility, the funds are to be designated for the appropriate foster. Funds may be NOT be used to purchase an equine directly from a kill buyer. An organization is eligible only once per calendar year. The goal is to provide immediate funds within 24 hours of the request, with minimal application and follow-up paperwork. When funds are exhausted for the fiscal year, no further gifts will be able to be provided.
Eligibility:
(1) The organization must submit the completed application form and a copy of its determination letter with the request.
(2) The organization must have been operating as a recognized 501(c)(3) for a minimum of one year (by date on the determination letter).
(3) The organization cannot receive the funds for two years following a consecutive gift of two years .
(4) The organization must appropriately describe the nature of the emergency. Ongoing costs will not be approved.
To apply for a gift from The Special Horses Emergency Fund, download the form below and email it with your 501(c)(3) determination letter to brownbrotherslandscapingllc@gmail.com.
NOTE: We would like to acknowledge Seeger Toyota in Creve Coeur, Missouri for donating seed money for the Emergency Fund, and to Heather Hall for her continued support of this fund.
Special Horses
Emergency Funds Gift Recipients
Since 2018, Special Horses has provided one-time gifts to verified equine rescue organizations in good standing. These gifts are to be used for unforeseen and immediate needs and are reported by calendar year, below.
Who Supports Horse Rescue Organizations? We Do!
Many amazing, in-the-trenches, 501(c)(3) equine rescue organizations have made it their mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes and lifetime sanctuaries for horses that have been neglected, abused, or abandoned. Special Horses is honored to support these rescues by running online fundraisers, helping craft grant applications, providing marketing materials, and more.
Two Important Questions to Ask Before Participating in a Fundraiser or Donating:
Q: "Can I Trust Special Horses?"
A: Yes, you can. We know that honesty and transparency is the foundation of your support, so we encourage you to verify us by clicking on the GuideStar, Candid, Great NonProfits, and The Homes for Horses Coalition logos in the Credentials section at the bottom of the page. You can also review our Annual Reports on the About page, and check our reviews and comments on social media.
Q: "Where Do My Donations Go?"
A: Our rescue organizations are given most of the money we raise, because we want the majority of your donations to help horses in need. We purposely keep our operating expenses at a minimum, and to see an exact breakdown of our income and expenses, check our Annual Reports on the About page.
Also, we are 100% volunteer run and receive no compensation for our fundraising efforts, so every fundraiser we run, every grant we write and submit on behalf of a rescue, and every flyer we create is done at no charge to the recipient organization.
